Pawfy Review: What's in the Chews, Cost per Day and Who They Fit

A label-by-label Pawfy review: what's in the Probiotic, Allergy & Immune, Skin Soothe, Calming and Anal Gland chews, cost per day by dog size, what reviews say, and who they fit.

A woman reads the back of a plain soft chew jar at her kitchen counter while her adult beagle looks up, the kind of label check a Pawfy review starts with

Most of a Pawfy review is stars, and stars tell you if other dogs ate the chew, kind of, and not much else. This one is built on the labels and the cost per day at your dog's weight, plus the refund and subscription pages (where the surprises were). Pricing checked October 2026.

One thing first. We make Pet Nugget, a daily chew that competes with Pawfy, so read this knowing that. It's why everything here is a fact you can check on pawfy.com, Chewy or Trustpilot, and why we say so when Pawfy wins a round. It wins a couple.

Pawfy review: the quick version

Pawfy is a line of single-job soft chews with real amounts on the label, and the loudest complaints are about the subscription.

  • 13 soft chews, one job each, 30 to a jar (Calming has 45).
  • Amounts are printed per chew for every active.
  • Probiotic: 2.5 billion CFU from five strains in one chew.
  • Allergy & Immune: built on colostrum 200 mg and quercetin 50 mg.
  • $45 a jar one-time on pawfy.com, $30 on subscription, around $35 at Chewy.
  • 90-day guarantee on the product page, 30-day return policy on the policy page.
  • Trustpilot 3.6 from 730 reviews, with subscriptions that keep shipping as the main complaint.

What Pawfy is

Pawfy is a dog-supplement company in Raleigh, North Carolina (Pawfy Inc. in the site footer) that's been selling soft chews since at least December 2021, when a press release announced five of them. The shop now lists 13, one job each (Probiotic, Allergy & Immune, Hip & Joint, Calming, Anal Glands, Longevity NMN and so on), all "From $25", plus toppers from $22.50. Who founded it, and when, isn't stated anywhere we could find.

The homepage says "Made in the USA from global ingredients" and "Vet Formulated". The product pages add DVM endorsements (Dr. Daisy May on the Probiotic, Allergy & Immune, Skin Soothe and Anal Glands pages, Dr. Whitney Dettmer on Calming and Multivitamin), plus "3rd Party Lab Tested" and "GMP/SQF Certified" badges. The lab isn't named.

Then there's the NASC (National Animal Supplement Council) member logo on the product pages. NASC's own public member list didn't include Pawfy when we checked on October 25, 2026. Does that mean the logo is wrong? Not necessarily. The list goes by company name, so a contract manufacturer could hold it under its own name. If it matters to you, ask Pawfy who holds it.

No recall and no FDA warning letter involving Pawfy turned up in FDA's listings or by web search.

What's on the Pawfy Probiotic label

An adult brown mixed-breed dog sniffs one small soft chew held between an owner's fingers in a sunny kitchen, like a daily probiotic chew

The Pawfy Probiotic chew lists five strains at 2.5 billion CFU per chew (Lactobacillus acidophilus, L. plantarum, L. brevis, L. fermentum and Lactococcus lactis), and the Vitacost label adds that the count is at time of manufacture. Around them: turmeric 50 mg, yucca extract 30 mg, black pepper 15 mg and two small vitamin blends at 23.75 mg and 4.52 mg. The chew is 3.5 g, 30 to a jar, in Vegetarian Chicken or Turkey & Bacon.

Serving is 1 chew a day if your dog is up to 40 lb, 2 for 41 to 80 lb and 3 from 81 lb up, so a jar is a month for a small dog and a lot less if she's big. (Vitacost's jars print different weight bands, so go by your label.)

The page's own claim wording: "Promotes Gut Health", "Eases Digestive Issues", "For a healthy intestinal tract". The FAQ says to introduce it slowly to a puppy at around 6 months old and to allow 2 to 3 weeks "to begin seeing noticeable improvement".

No guaranteed analysis (protein, fat, fiber, moisture) is printed for this chew, or for Allergy & Immune, Skin Soothe, Calming or Anal Glands. Only the Multivitamin page has one. The CFU count, though, is a real point for Pawfy: 2.5 billion in one 3.5 g chew is a big number, and our own Pet Nugget lists 500 million per two chews. Full side by side further down.

What's on the Pawfy Allergy & Immune label

Colostrum 200 mg leads. Then 50 mg each of quercetin, apple cider vinegar, apple pectin, inulin and turmeric, 9 mg of omega-3 from salmon oil, three digestive enzymes, folic acid, B12 and three probiotic strains at 1 billion CFU, all in a 4 g turkey chew that contains milk and fish.

The page says it supports the immune response to seasonal allergies, and the description goes further: "Soothe the scratching, scooting and infections that come with allergies." Their words.

Is 9 mg of omega-3 a lot? No. A few drops' worth, honestly. (Vitacost's label for the same jar says "Salmon Oil 75 mg", possibly total oil or an older formula. We quote pawfy.com.)

The Large version doubles every amount in an 8 g chew for dogs from 40 lb up ($45 a jar subscribed, $50 shown beside it).

Skin Soothe, Calming and Anal Gland chews, label by label

Skin Soothe is an oil chew: evening primrose oil 75 mg, sunflower oil 50 mg, turmeric 50 mg and the same 9 mg of omega-3. No probiotic, and nothing like zinc or vitamin E.

Calming is chamomile and passion flower at 50 mg each, ginger and L-tryptophan at 30 mg, 45 chews a jar. The FAQ says double the serving an hour before an event. (Oddly, chicken sits in the inactive list under a vegetarian turkey flavor.)

Anal Glands is pumpkin seed 200 mg and beet 100 mg up top, psyllium and friends under that, plus two Bacillus strains at 0.5 billion CFU each (1 billion total). Peanut butter flavor, contains peanuts.

What Pawfy does well

Every active has an amount next to it, per chew, no proprietary blend hiding the split (two small vitamin blends on the Probiotic aside), and the probiotic strains are named, with a count. We look for that first.

Thirteen chews, one complaint each, so if your dog's only issue is her anal glands you buy that jar and stop. Probiotic and Skin Soothe come in a vegetarian chicken flavor (for dogs that react to chicken), Calming gives you 45 chews for the same price, and the buy box promises free shipping, "No Contract", "Change or Cancel Anytime" and a 90-day guarantee. And on Trustpilot the company answers 78% of its negative reviews.

Where the Pawfy labels stop

A grey-muzzled senior black Labrador pausing at the bottom of a carpeted staircase with one paw on the first step, the joint support question Pawfy's single-job chews leave to a separate jar
A senior black Labrador pausing at the stairs, where joint support comes up.

Each chew does one job, so if she's itchy and gassy, she's a two-jar dog (and two subscriptions). Neither Probiotic nor Skin Soothe lists a joint active or a mushroom. Hip & Joint has the joint actives (glucosamine 375 mg, chondroitin 200 mg, MSM 200 mg), but that's jar three.

None of these five pages prints a guaranteed analysis (protein, fat, fiber, moisture). Only the Multivitamin's does.

"97% See Results After 3 Jars", "87% saw improvement in Gut Health in 3 Months", "99% customer satisfaction rate": the page gives no method or source for any of them. We looked.

The price takes a minute, too: $35 struck through, $30 for a one-jar subscription, then "Buy Once for $45.00". And the guarantee? The page offers a full refund within 90 days for any reason, with an asterisk we never found a footnote for, while the refund policy page says 30 days and unused goods. Ask support which applies before you order.

About $1.00 to $1.50 a day for a dog up to 40 lb on one jar, $2.00 to $3.00 for 41 to 80 lb, double that if your dog is on two Pawfy chews. Why the range? Where you buy: a 30-chew jar is $45 one-time on pawfy.com, $30 subscribed ($25 each for three), about $35 at Chewy and Vitacost.

Pawfy cost per day by dog weight, 30-chew jar (pawfy.com and chewy.com prices, checked October 2026)
Dog's weight Chews a day $45 one-time (pawfy.com) $35 one-time (Chewy) $30 subscription
Up to 40 lb 1 $1.50 $1.17 $1.00
41 to 80 lb 2 $3.00 $2.33 $2.00
81 lb and up 3 $4.50 $3.50 $3.00

The buy box says cancel anytime, but the subscription policy page is empty and the terms don't cover cancelling, so you cancel through the My Subscriptions portal or the contact form. Trustpilot's top complaint is a subscription that kept shipping after a cancel, and a few reviews on Pawfy's own probiotic page say the same. Cancel before the next jar ships, keep the confirmation.

What Pawfy reviews say

A man reads Pawfy reviews on his phone on the couch at night with an adult Jack Russell terrier curled on his lap
An adult Jack Russell terrier on a lap while the reviews get read.

Mixed. Trustpilot has Pawfy at 3.6 from 730 reviews, split 50% five-star and 31% one-star. Chewy runs 3.7 to 4.3 by product, Pawfy's own probiotic page shows 4.48 from 281, and the sitewide widget says 4.8 from 4,637.

Praise is the same everywhere: less paw licking and scratching, firmer stools, dogs that like the taste, helpful support. Complaints too: subscription billing, picky dogs refusing chews reviewers call hard and dry, no change, slow replies, late or missing boxes.

Pawfy vs Pet Nugget, label to label

Pawfy wins two rounds outright. Probiotic count: 2.5 billion CFU in one Pawfy chew, 500 million per 2 chews in ours, and even at the three a day our guide gives a 40 lb dog, Pawfy's one chew still lists more. Allergy-angle actives: colostrum, quercetin, apple cider vinegar and digestive enzymes, all on the Allergy & Immune label, none on ours.

Ours lists more salmon oil, 100 mg per 2 chews against 9 mg of omega-3 per Pawfy allergy or skin chew (different measures, so not dose for dose, and still small, not a fish oil dose). Joint actives, glucosamine 250 mg, MSM 100 mg, chondroitin 50 mg and boswellia 25 mg per 2 chews, none on Pawfy's probiotic, allergy or skin labels (its Hip & Joint chew has more glucosamine, 375 mg). Mushrooms, 750 mg of seven powders per 2 chews, none in the five Pawfy chews we read (there's a separate Mushroom Complex). And one jar, where Pawfy is one chew per problem, a real advantage if your dog has exactly one.

On cost, Pet Nugget is $44 for 120 chews, about $0.73 a day one-time ($0.55 on a 90-day subscription, 25% off) up to 30 lb, $1.10 for 31 to 60 lb, $1.47 for 61 to 90 lb, $1.83 over 90 lb, against Pawfy's $1.00 to $1.50 up to 40 lb (one Pawfy chew a day to our two or three). Both say 90 days on the guarantee. Allergens: ours lists shellfish and soy, Pawfy's allergy chew milk and fish.

Who Pawfy fits, and when to pick something else

Pawfy fits when your dog has one clear issue and you want a chew aimed at it, or a big probiotic count in one small chew, or that vegetarian chicken flavor, and you're fine with a jar a month and a subscription to keep an eye on.

Something else may fit if she has two or three things going on and you don't want three jars, or you want joint actives, mushrooms or fish oil in one daily chew, or you'd rather buy once than pay $45 for 30 chews.

Ask your vet first if she has a health issue, takes medicine or eats a special diet, and if her stomach is off after any new chew, ours included, stop and call the vet.
